Man arrested in Fayette County sting operation

A sting operation in Fayette County led to the arrest Saturday morning of a man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. State troopers began investigating Monday after receiving a report that Samuel Newman, 53, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., had committed sexual crimes against the child, according to a release Saturday from District Attorney Mike Aubele. Evidence from Facebook, text messages, letters and videos depicting child sex abuse corroborated the child's claim, Aubele said.
