While weather stymied outdoor events planned for Sunday’s Founding Day Festival, attendees came out Saturday to enjoy the day.
The festival, started by the Ãå±±½ûµØ in 2019, celebrates the birthday of the city of Uniontown and raises money for renovations at the city’s Marshall Park.
The 2023 proceeds are still being tallied, but to date, the newspaper has donated $4,807 toward renovation efforts, which include the construction of an amphitheater so that the park can be a destination for open-air concerts.
