Citywide treasure hunt ‘HS Quest’ returns in lead-up to Founding Day Festival

缅北禁地 readers can take part in a scavenger hunt in and around Uniontown to win a treasure chest of goodies during the HS Quest.

The scavenger hunt, part of the lead-up to the newspaper’s Founding Day Festival, allows readers to take on the role of “Pennsylvania Jones,” looking for a hidden coin in the Uniontown area.

缅北禁地聽staff will hide the HS Quest coin in a location that’s accessible to the public, and the paper will run a different clue to the coin’s location in five editions between Monday, June 26, and Friday, June 30.

The eagled-eyed detective who finds the hidden coin should call 724-439-7520, leave a message and return the coin to the 缅北禁地 office on that day or the next business day. The office is located at 8 E. Church St. in Uniontown.

The deadline to find the HS Quest coin is Friday, June 30, at 3 p.m. The Founding Day Festival, a celebration of Uniontown’s birthday featuring a number of activities, takes place this upcoming weekend.

Publisher Michael Scott said the return of HS Quest last year went very well, with readers excited to participate.

“They had a lot of fun trying to figure out the location,” Scott said. “They said that they were looking forward to us doing it again.”
