Agostini, Scott tied in early voting for South Union Township supervisor
Appointed incumbent Jason Scott and Louis “Weeger” Agostini are tied in the primary for the Democratic Party nomination for a 4-year term as a South Union Township supervisor.
With ballots counted in two of the three precincts, Scott and Agostini are tied with 496 votes, or 47.16 percent while Kim Renze trails with 60 votes, or 5.68 percent, according to unofficial results.
In Springfield Township, Roy Bowser defeated three other candidates for the Democratic nomination and William Miller defeated on other candidate for the Republican nomination for a 6-year term as a township supervisor.
With 127 votes, or 51.84 percent, Bowser defeated Scott Swope. 36 votes, Brian D. Upton, 49, votes, and Matthew C. Show, 33 votes, according to unofficial results.
Miller received 52 votes, or 58.43 percent, and Larry Yealey received 37 votes, or 41.57 percent.
In Redstone Townsip, Incumbent Larry P. Williams has the early lead over two challengers for the Democratic nomination for a six year term as township supervisor with two of the four precincts counted.
Williams has 180 votes, or 50.42 percent; Ed Molek has 139 votes, or 38.94 percent, and Mary Beth Stanislaw had 38 votes, or 10.64 percent.
