‘Hamilton’ star to perform with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Ren茅e Elise Goldsberry, who originated the role of Angelica Schuyler in the musical 鈥淗amilton,鈥� will perform in concert with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra this month at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh.
Goldsberry, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, has been honored with several awards, including a Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel. She鈥檚 also appeared in several television shows and films, including 鈥淲aves,鈥� 鈥淎ltered Carbon,鈥� and 鈥淶oey鈥檚 Extraordinary Playlist.鈥� Upcoming, she will star in the Tina Fey series 鈥淕irls5eva鈥� on Peacock.
During the Heinz Hall show, Goldsberry will sing favorites from 鈥淗amilton,鈥� alongside selections from 鈥淭he Lion King,鈥� 鈥淩ent鈥� and other shows.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Fri, May 12 and 13, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sun, May 14. For tickets, visit pittsburghsymphony.org.
