Picklesburgh celebrates the pickle
Got a hankering for a gherkin? Then you’ll probably want to check out Picklesburgh, the festival celebrating the pickle, which is happening in downtown Pittsburgh starting today.
It will have more than 50 vendors, contests, live music, a “mechanical pickle,” activities for children, rounds of pickleball and plenty more,
Launched in 2015, Picklesburgh is a four-time winner of USA Today’s Best Specialty Food Festival. This year, the festival will span the Roberto Clemente and Andy Warhol bridges, and be at Allegheny Landing, PPG Plaza, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Arts Landing and other parts of downtown.
Picklesburgh continues through Sunday. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. For information, go online to picklesburgh.com.
