Lady Maples defeat visiting Washington, 11-4

Washington led 2-0 through two innings Monday afternoon, but Mapletown rallied for six runs in the bottom of the third inning on its way to an 11-4 non-section home win.

The Lady Maples (2-0) added three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Macee Cree allowed four hits, struck out 12 and walked three in the win.

Mekenzie Reda had three singles for the Lady Maples. Katherine Fox, Faith Burkholder-Walter and Taylor Dusenberry all doubled. Dusenberry also singled.

Washington had all extra-base hits, including doubles from Marisa Taufer, Sheridan Johnson and Savannah Donhfa, and a triple by Houston Walmsley.
