Lady Mikes fend off Mapletown, 6-3

Carmichaels and Mapletown, playoff-bound softball teams, closed out the season Wednesday with a non-section contest won by the Lady Mikes, 6-3.

Carmichaels improves to 13-5 overall. The Lady Maples enter the playoffs at 10-5.

Kylie Sinn struck out 14 and walked none.

The Lady Mikes were losing 3-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but put up four runs for the win. Emma Holaren and Gina Ranieri both had two-runs singles in the rally.

Shelbee McCann led Carmichaels with three hits. Sinn and Ranieri both had two singles.

Faith Burkholder-Walter doubled for the Lady Maples, and Hannah Dusenberry legged out a triple.
