Morris earns PAC honor
Waynesburg senior Colby Morris was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Wrestler of the week for his performance last weekend.
The Waynesburg Central graduate went 4-0 wrestling at 174 pounds.
Morris started with a pin in 1:09 against Penn State Behrend’s Matthew Melchior on Friday.
He continued his undefeated run with three wins Saturday in the Averett Cougar Duals. Morris had a 15-0 technical fall in 4:06 against Fairmont State’s Elijah Wellings-Osha, a fall in 58 seconds against Emory & Henry’s Sebastian Gabarrette, and secured a 17-2 technical fall in 2:35 over Ferrum’s Zahne Ruiz.
Morris ran his record to 15-0 with 12 bonus-point wins.
Orbin is PAC top newcomer
Waynesburg’s Jesse Orbin was recognized as the PAC Newcomer of the Week
Orbin went 5-1 last week with a major decision, technical fall, two decisions and pin at 184 pounds.
