Rachel Rohanna had a strong finish in the final round Saturday to pull into the top 30 in the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
Rohanna tied for 28th place with a three-round total of 10-under 206. She won $4,124.
The Waynesburg Central graduate closed with a 4-under 68 with six birdies and two bogeys in Saturday’s final round at Sewailo Golf Club. Rohanna went out in 34 and finished the back nine in 34 with three birdies and a bogey on each side.
Rohanna shot 3-under 69 in Friday’s second round and opened with a 2-over 74 in Thursday’s first round.
“It’s a quirky course. It hit the ball decent, but had a lot of very good recovery shots and putting turned around on the second and third day,” said Rohanna.
Rohanna is now 71st on the Race For the Card standings with 55.004 points.
Rohanna and the Epson Tour move to the TPC Scottsdale-Champions course for a four-day championship beginning Thursday. She is then scheduled to play the Copper Rock Championship in Hurricane, Utah, on May 16-18.
