Rachel Rohanna needed a second day to complete her first round in the U.S. Women鈥檚 Open, and will continue on to a third day to complete her second round because of Thursday鈥檚 weather postponement.

Rohanna finished the final six holes of her first round Friday early morning in 2-over to finish her opening round at 2-over 73.

She was in a big logjam tied for 19th at 2-over, trailing leader Stacey Lewis at 4-under.

She was scheduled to start her second round at 9:01 p.m. MDT, but play was called at 6:09 p.m. MDT because of weather conditions.

The Waynesburg Central graduate has a 7:48 a.m. MDT tee time Saturday, nearly 15 hours after her originally scheduled time at 2:30 p.m. MDT Friday, but that is scheduled to change because of Friday鈥檚 developments.

After going even-par through 12 holes, Rohanna bogeyed No. 7, a 426-yard par-4, and No. 8, a 166-yard par-3, her 16th and 17th holes.

鈥淚 three-putted No. 9 for par. I just missed it (for birdie),鈥 said Rohanna. 鈥淚 hit it just as good as I did yesterday.鈥

A night off the course helped calm Rohanna.

鈥淚 wasn鈥檛 as nervous,鈥 said Rohanna, who opened with a tough chip shot on No. 13, a par-3. 鈥淚 had a really good chip and made a good putt downhill.

鈥淚 am still a little nervous, but I鈥檓 pretty excited. I feel a lot better,鈥 said Rohanna.

No matter how the schedule pans out, Saturday promises to be a busy day with the completion of the second round and hopefully, the start of the third round.

鈥淎s long as I keep playing like I am, but you still have to hit good shots,鈥 Rohanna explained of her shot at making the cut. 鈥淚 still have to hit good shots, but like the way I am playing.鈥
