Bud Murphy鈥檚 turned a strong defense and some last-inning lightning into a 3-2 win over Blue Mountain in Fayette County Baseball League action Friday at Carmichaels.
After Blue Mountain (12-5) grabbed a 2-0 lead with runs in the second and third innings, Bud鈥檚 (12-5) got in the game with a run in the sixth before pulling out the victory with a pair in the seventh.
Kaiten Smiley brought home the tying run with a ground out, before Casey Teagarden scampered home from third on a fielder鈥檚 choice.
Nick Damico pitched two innings to pick up the win, as he allowed two hits and no walks, while striking out three.
It was his first decision of the season. He relieved Jeremy Hoover, who went in to replace starter Bill Rouse after he gave up two runs.
