A Different Look on Traveling

Being green does not just mean buying local food and implementing energy efficiency technologies.听 Amongst the many green practices, many may not think of including recreation.听 Efforts to protect and preserve the natural environment, supporting local business, and responsible sightseeing are just a few ways to plan a green outing.听 The green travel spectrum is becoming popular throughout the world, in small eco friendly villages or luxury hotels, but there is no need for spending more money than one has to, just keep it local.
Some think to get away from lives troubles and day to day routines, one has to head to white sandy beaches, pristine wilderness, or other popular tourist destinations, but traveling less and in a closer proximity may be what is on many people鈥檚 budget these days.听 Take a look at what is around you.听 Southwest Pennsylvania is full of outdoor adventure; driving tours, water sports, historic hiking trails, bicycle trails, & welcoming, friendly communities.
Tips for the greener Pennsylvania traveler:
