Waynesburg man dies from injuries suffered in crash
A Waynesburg man died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle car accident Saturday evening, according to the Greene County Coroner’s Office.
Around 7:20 p.m.聽Phillip J. Wyant, 26, was driving on Washington Road in Franklin Township when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit a telephone pole, a parked car, and a car port, according to the coroner’s report.
Wyant was transported from the scene to the emergency room at Washington Health System Greene, and was later pronounced dead at 9:13 p.m., according to the coroner’s report.
The accident is under investigation and no further information has been released.
