A Rostraver Township man allegedly fired two shots at a 33-year-old man, missing both times, following a heated argument Thursday afternoon at his house, police said.

Paul Scott Reed, 56, of 2113 State Route 906, was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, strangulation and two counts of simple assault.

Rostraver police said the men were arguing when Reed began assaulting the second man at about 4:10 p.m. He then allegedly fired two shots at the man.

Reed was arrested and lodged in Westmoreland County Prison, where he remains locked up on a $100,000 bond set by Magisterial District Judge Joseph A Dalfonso.

His preliminary hearing is set for 11:15 a.m. Nov. 17.
