Nearly $525,000 in cryptocurrency stolen from New Stanton man

State police are investigating the theft of more than half a million dollars worth of cryptocurrency reported in New Stanton Wednesday.

Sometime between Dec. 1 and Jan. 1, a person reportedly stole the identity of a 53-year-old New Stanton man and stole $524,594 in cryptocurrency online. He reported the theft Wednesday afternoon, when state police began their investigation. No leads were immediately developed.
