Give-A-Christmas contributions continue

One week into the Give-A-Christmas campaign, donors have stepped up to support the Salvation Army.
As of Wednesday morning, $1,760 had been contributed toward the goal of $10,000.
Sparkle the Christmas Star, the campaign’s mascot, said the funds raised through Give-A-Christmas stay in Fayette County so all donations have a true local impact.
“It’s an honor to help our Salvation Army units. They do so much good for those who need a helping hand,” Sparkle said.
Now in its 40th year, Give-A-Christmas was started by the Ãå±±½ûµØ to provide extra support to the Salvation Army. The campaign has raised in excess of $1 million.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 23, with the final total reported in the Christmas Eve edition of the newspaper.

Contributions for the Give-A-Christmas campaign can be mailed to Give-A-Christmas, c/o Ãå±±½ûµØ, 8 E. Church St., Uniontown, Pa., 15401. Checks should be made out to Give-A-Christmas. Additionally, donations may be dropped off at the newspaper office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All donors are welcome to include notes honoring or memorializing loved ones, or holiday messages.
