String of stop signs vandalized in Fayette County
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kalee Barnhart speaks at an event Thursday where state police partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to raise awareness of the recent increase in stop sign vandalism in Fayette County and the dangers it poses for drivers. Over the past two weeks, eight stop signs have been damaged or knocked down in Jefferson and Franklin townships, Barnhart said. It creates dangerous conditions at intersections throughout Fayette County, as drivers may not know they are required to stop. People should call 911 if they notice a missing or damaged stop sign.
