Stefano announces reelection bid
State Sen. Pat Stefano, a Republican from Bullskin Township, is seeking his fourth term representing the 32nd Senatorial District.
“Everyday, I’ve committed myself to the values that define Southwestern Pennsylvania: grit, perseverance and respect for every individual’s hard-earned dollar,” he said. “In a time where Pennsylvanians are facing rising costs, government needs to get out of the way and focus on practical solutions that make life more affordable and support good-paying jobs.”
His legislative priorities include reducing utility costs, supporting workforce development, protecting consumers and maintaining public safety and infrastructure.
Stefano is the chair of the Senate’s Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee and supported legislation aimed at lowering utility bills, combating scams and fraud, and strengthening consumer protections. He also backed workforce and career training initiatives and efforts to modernize regulations affecting employers.
“Every dollar matters now,” he said. “My focus is identifying ways to reduce costs, removing roadblocks and protecting consumers, while ensuring services remain safe and reliable.”
Stefano is an advocate for responsible energy development, saying reliable and affordable energy is essential for households, job growth and economic stability. He has worked with local officials to secure state funding for water and sewer projects, public safety equipment and broadband expansion.
“Reliable energy isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity,” he said. “Our region understands that you can protect the environment while supporting the jobs and industries that keep communities strong.”
On health care, Stefano supports improving access and affordability, particularly in rural areas, including the use of telemedicine.
“As senator, I’ve worked hard to listen and respond to the needs of local residents, and it’s been the honor of my life to do so,” Stefano said. “Our government is far from perfect, but I remain committed to fight everyday for the best interest of our community.”
The 32nd Senatorial District covers all of Fayette, Somerset and Bedford counties, and Scottdale in Westmoreland County.
