Fanchon M. Pringle, 91, of Woodcrest Senior Living, Scottdale, passed away at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, with her loving family at her bedside. She was born May 22, 1934 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Julius Nelson and Beatrice Forsythe.

She was married to William L. “Oogie” Pringle, who passed away in 1999.

Fanchon was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a lady of deep Christian faith.

She started her postal career as a clerk in the Dawson Post Office in 1970 and went on to become postmaster of the Star Junction Post Office.

Fanchon was an avid reader, who loved country music and American history. She also served as a volunteer for hospice and spent the last 25 years with her childhood friend, Harry Leasure.

Fanchon leaves behind and will be sadly missed by her son, David Pringle and his husband, Keith Herr; her grandson, David Adams; along with her two great-granddaughters, Adrianna and Breanna Adams.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy O’Nell; and grandson, Adrian Adams.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, and from 10 until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Brian Martucci officiating. A graveside committal service and interment will follow in the Bowman- Flatwoods Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Woodcrest Activity Fund, 1 Woodcrest Circle, Scottdale, PA 15683.
