It is with heavy hearts that the family of Belva May Wooten Price announce her passing from this world Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 94, to be with her Lord. She was born August 25, 1931 in Gibbon Glade.
She was a retired baker at Herrings Restaurant in Hopwood.
She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great- great-grandmother and friend, whose presence brought warmth and light to all who knew her.
Belva was known for her kind heart, strength and the love she gave to not only her family, but to everyone she came in contact with. She took great pride in her family and helping others.
Above all, she cherished her family and loved ones.
She is survived by her children, Kevin and Linda Price, Michael and Brenda Price, Leonard and Kim Price, Lisa and Francis Rodeheaver, and Steve Price; brothers and sisters, James Wooten, Barbara Budner, Leanne Martin and Donna Foriska; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethel Wooten; husband, Robert Price; children, Wanda Gors, Ellis Price, Stanley Price, Robert Price, Richard Price, Charles Price, and Dianna Price; and her siblings, Billie Wooten, Lillian Gordon, Lucille Burnsworth and Terry Wooten.
She had a special way of bringing people together offering comfort and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, and from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, with Carl Desmartin officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Memorial Park, Farmington.
