Catherine Katie Kaiser Dice
Surrounded by her loving family, Katie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2026. She was born on September 25, 1944, to the late Nellie Bowman Kaiser and Charles Kaiser.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years George (Jim) Dice whom she married on May 10th, 1964. Her three children, Robin (Paul) Horwath, Jimmy (Dawn) Dice, and Buddy (Amy) Dice; seven grandchildren, Rebecca (Shawn) Kolaja, Julie Horwath, JR (Haley) Dice, Luke (Dr. Elizabeth) Dice, Dr. Leah (Luke) Dice-Haid, Jordy and Nicky Dice; seven great-grandchildren, Lena Kolaja, Iris, Cash, Eden, CJ, John Luke and Lilli Dice; Two sisters, Eleanor (Arnold) Joseph, and Margie (Rich) Coddington; brothers-in-law, Carl (Marie) Dice, Danny (Karen) Dice; and a sister-in-law, Stella (George) Mikluscak; two special bonus granddaughters, Abby Myers and Claire Dominick; in addition to her many special nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as “Aunt Kate”.
She was pre-deceased in death by her siblings, Charles (Betty) Kaiser, Ewing Kaiser, Edith (Jack) Hughes, Marie (Ralph) Myers, John (Alice) Kaiser, Pearl (Jim) Keifer, Ethel (Darwin) Cunningham, Ruth Ann (Steve) Riba, Jo Ann (Jerry) Intorre, Susie (Fred) Skoda, and Jack (Mary Ann) Kaiser.
Katie was a member of The Brownfield Methodist Church, were she spent countless hours cleaning and cooking for fabulous Sunday church dinners.
In her early years of being a stay-at-home mom she would clean for local businesses in the evening with her children at her side, she then became a school bus monitor for The Albert Gallatin School District for 13 years. After retirement she settled into her new love of being NaNa to her grandchildren who she adored.
She lived a simpler life spending time with Jim and their special friends Regis and Bonnie at their cabins in Huntington and Blacksville. Her annual trips to the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach with her family brought her much joy, as she would sit at the edge of the water for hours just enjoying the moment. She and Jim were able to spend their 25th Wedding Anniversary Cruising around the Hawaiian Islands with her sister Edith and her husband Jack. Endless trips to Cleveland to see her grandsons and thrift shopping with her sister Eleanor, playing cards, Yahtzee, and playing bingo at the Hopwood Fire Hall.
If you knew Katie and Jim, you knew they were always holding hands and showing affection that would be passed down through their generations.

A private service for the immediate family was held according to her wishes.
