C. Jane Clovis, 86, of Carmichaels, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in her home.
She was born December 8, 1939, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Franklin and Bessie Hart. Jane graduated from Cumberland Township High School and worked for the Cafeteria at the Carmichaels Area School District, until her retirement in 1999.
She was an active member of the Carmichaels Methodist Church, enjoyed spending time with her family and playing card games with friends.
On June 4, 1961, she married James M. Clovis, who passed away on May 5, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina Whitney (fiance, Mark McClung) of Oak Hill, W.Va.; a son, James M. Clovis (Amy) of Beverly Hills, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kasey Lineberg (Ethan) of Daniels, W.Va. and Victoria Clovis of Beverly Hills; great-grandson, Miles Lineberg; and long time companion, William Whipkey of Carmichaels. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends and will be welcomed from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, PA 15320, Paul M. Lesako, funeral Director / Owner and Aaron S. Walker, Funeral Director.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday following the visitation with the Reverend Andrew Gump, PhD, officiating. The family suggests donation be made to the Greene County Humane Society, 183 Jefferson Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
