Ellen Collins, 82, of Ronco, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday January 7, 2026, with her loving family by her side, at the Uniontown Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 3, 1943 in Uniontown, the daughter of John Franks and Ruth McElfresh Franks.
Ellen was a member of the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marion Farrier; and her niece, Sandy Hoffman. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, John R. Collins Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Gwendolyn Collins, John R. Collins Jr. and wife Melody; grandchildren, Marshall, Owen, Gabriel and Isaiah Collins; niece, Cheryl Farrier; nephew, John Farrier; and several great-nieces, great- nephews and friends.
Ellen was an avid reader, and enjoyed scrapbooking, and listening to Josh Groban and Elvis Presley.
She was a former member of the Ronco Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and playing with her grandsons.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 11, in the TERRAVECCHIA-HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 515 N. Main Street, Masontown, where visitation continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of service Tuesday, January 13, with Virginia Eberhart officiating.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
