Charlene Riggin, 64, of Smithfield, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026.
She was born August 4, 1961 in Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Charles “Hen” King; and stepdad, George “Buck” Rankin.
Surviving are her husband of 12 years, Jody Bittinger Sr.; stepchildren, Jody Bittinger Jr. and Josh Bittinger; four stepgrandchildren; her mother, Judy Rankin; two sisters, Deborah Matthews, and Janice Bittinger and husband Randy; two brothers, George Rankin Jr. and Gerald Rankin; and many nieces, nephews and family.
Charlene was a longtime human resources manager at Uniontown Healthcare and Rehabilitation and enjoyed her free time at Big Bear.
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 22. Visitation continues Friday, January 23, from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jim Jobes officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield.
