Josephine “Jackie” Zellie, 87, of Washington, formerly of Fredericktown, died Friday, July 10, 2026, in Presbyterian Senior Care-Southmont, after a brief illness.

She was born June 16, 1939, in Fredericktown, the first-born twin daughter of the late Joseph and Martha “Farrah” Abraham.

She attended the former East Bethlehem Township High School (Beth-Center) in Fredericktown.

On October 11, 1959, she married the late Carl C. Zellie, Sr. in St. Ellien Church in Brownsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Martha “Julie” Abraham-Logan.

She is survived by her son, Carl (Bonnie) C. Zellie, Jr. of Washington; baby sister, Alexandria “Sandi” Abraham-Smith of Hughesville, Md.; sister-in-law, Dolores Zellie Koskey of Fredericktown; nephews, David T. Wynn of Alexandria, Va., Frank (Taylor) L. Koskey, Jr. of Maui, Hawaii, Jason (Jennifer) J. Koskey of Maui, Eric M. Koskey of Fredericktown; great-nephews, Austin D. Lehmann of Linden, N.C., Nathan A. Koskey of Maui, Justin R. Stepp of Marianna, Jacob J. Stepp of Marianna, Noah K. Koskey of Maui; nieces, Kimberly (Ronald) Davis of Ashburn, Va., Regina (Jason) L. Stepp of Marianna, D. Renee Koskey of Bentleyville, Carrie (Paul) A. Kondratiuk of Fredericktown; great-nieces, Jessica L. Stepp of Annapolis, Md., Alisha N. Clever of Clarksville, Madison Koskey of Honolulu, Hawaii, Sayler Koskey of Maui, Raeha L. Koskey of Millsboro, Riley J. Koskey of Millsboro; great-great-niece, Avalynn N.Gode-Johnson of Clarksville; “special great-niece”, Bobbie Lee Varner Barkovic of Uniontown; special and long-time friend, Charles Woodburn of Washington; and her beloved goddaughter, Ashley N. Talley of Washington.

Jackie was an avid fan of Bingo, playing cards, watching the Game Show Network and watching her one and favorite soap opera, General Hospital. She greatly enjoyed going to Kennywood Park and attending picnics, cook-outs and barbeques in the summer.

She was a member of St. George Church, Bridgeville.

She loved her family tremendously and was always the life of the parties. She was greatly loved and terribly missed by her beloved family and dear friends.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 16, from 12 noon to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. in Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home Ltd., 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown, PA 15333, where a Trisagion Service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in St. Ellien Church, 500 Spring Street, Brownsville, with Fr. Jason DelVitto and Fr. Fred Pfeil officiating. Interment will follow in the Fredericktown Cemetery.
