Matthew R. Palermo

Matthew R. Palermo, 37, of Uniontown, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, in UPMC Montifiore Hospital after a brief illness. He was born December 12, 1988 in Uniontown, a son of Gary and Robin Grimm Palermo.
Matthew was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony G. Palermo; and his grandparents, Gus Palermo, Robert Grimm, and Linda and Ralph McManus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Ruth E. Palermo; and many nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dogs Booze and Ol’ Red.
Matthew was an HVAC technician. He loved fishing, kayaking, gaming, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Visitation in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Thursday, July 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. Private interment at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
