Patsy Carol Hanson, 71, of Masontown, formerly of Gainsville, Texas, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, in her home.
She was born in Gainesville February 26, 1955, the daughter of the late Raymond and Carolyn Shetton Swofford.
Patsy was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Swofford; and grandparents, Grady Shelton and Mary Shelton.
Patsy graduated from Gainsville High School. She enjoyed reading classical literature and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Richard Hanson; her daughters, Rachel Hanson and Karherine Sweeny; sons, Brian Hanson, Joshua Hanson, Christopher Hanson, Matthew Hanson, Jonathan Hanson and Nathan Hanson; seven grandchildren, and sisters, Kathy Sweeney and Phyllis Williams.
A private service will be held Thursday, July 16, at the Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, under the direction of the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown.
