Ruth Elaine Lang Fenili Dayton, 96, of Uniontown, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Woodcrest Senior Living, Scottdale. Born June 23, 1930, in McKeesport, PA, she was a daughter of the late David and Ruth Cearns Lang.
A resident of Uniontown formerly of Irwin, Mrs. Dayton was Catholic by faith, worked in the accounting office at US Steel, Pittsburgh for seven years and later owned and operated The Pine Motel & Restaurant, Irwin with her husband Louis (Bates). She loved to travel with her family to Italy, Cape May, NJ, Florida and to many other places. Ruth was an avid football fan, especially her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and was an amazing cook.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Ronald Allen of Smock; stepchildren, Brenda and Chuck Lewellen; stepdaughters- in-law, Mary and Diane; grandchildren, Danielle (Shane) Hansen, Clinton (Andrea) Allen, along with other step- grandchildren; great- grandchildren Adriana and Isabel Angelo, Carter and Tenlee Allen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Louis A. (Bates) Fenili, second husband Roy Dayton and stepsons Bruce Dayton and Brian Dayton.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.
Relatives and friends will gather directly at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont on Friday July 31st for funeral services at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Julius Capongpongan officiating followed with entombment in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
Ruth’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Mike, Erin, and Melanie and Woodcrest caretakers Bobbie Sue, Debbie, Megan, Sue, and Sadie for all the comfort and care they provided to our mother.
