Nathaniel W. “Scootie” Dantzler, Jr., 72, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at home.

He was born on March 20, 1954, in Franklin Township, Greene County, to Nathaniel W. Dantzler, Sr. and Eary Marcella Brown Dantzler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Marian Buttons Dantzler; brother-in-law, Jeffrey S. Craggette; and special aunt and godmother, Virginia Hope Brown McKeithan.

Nathaniel is survived by his wife, Nikki C. Craggette Dantzler; daughter, Andria N. Dantzler; brother, Gregory Dantzler; sister, Jacqueline Marny McLee; four sisters-in-law: Ramona Morgan, Robin (Keith) Ellington, Breanna Craggette and Amerika Craggette; two brothers-in-law, Don Eric Craggette and David Craggette; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was devoted to his girls, Nikki and Andria, and loved eating out and road trips. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed hosting Super Bowl parties. In addition to collecting ball caps, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, brother and uncle.

He was a faithful and proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He worked for United States Steel at Maple Creek Mine until he retired.

Friends will be received at the Faith Assembly Church, 700 W. Main Street, Uniontown, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.

Services are entrusted to LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E Main Street, Uniontown.
