Edna M. Moore Randolph

Smock

Edna M. Moore Randolph, 94, of Smock, passed from this life Saturday, June 27, 2026.

She was born to Walter and Lillian Cooley Moore in New Salem on Christmas morning, the youngest of six siblings.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her brothers, Frank (Ollie), Walter (Irvin); and sisters, Thelma Deal, Mildred Whitlock, and Margery Whetzel.

Many of those who knew Edna called her “Betty” due to her uncanny resemblance to Betty White, both in her appearance and quick wit. She enjoyed her Thursday morning breakfasts with friends and writing poetry documenting special moments in rhyme. Her greatest loves were her Lord and her family.

She was a member of the Menallen Grange and the Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, where she held many roles throughout the years.

Edna is survived by her children, Mark (Valerie) Randolph and Karen Randolph, all of Smock; her grandsons, Tyler Randolph of Irwin, and Justin Randolph of Smock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Wednesday, July 1, from 3 until 8 p.m., and Thursday, July 2, from 10 until 11 a.m., when a funeral service will be held, with the Rev. Susan Blank officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
