Mary Louise Hilling Rohlf, 91, of Farmington, passed away peacefully in Uniontown Saturday, May 16, 2026. She was born and raised in Farmington September 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Hilling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Hilling.

Mary Lou’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support shaped their lives.

Surviving are her sons, Kevin Rohlf of Farmington, and Shawn Rohlf and wife Darlene Tampa, Fla.; her beloved granddaughters, Alexandra Rohlf and Beka Rohlf, both of Farmington; brother, John and wife Elaine Hilling of Fredericksburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou spent most of her career as a secretary in the Uniontown Area School District before retiring from the National Park Service at Fort Necessity National Battlefield.

Those who knew Mary Lou will remember her wry sense of humor, her gentle spirit, and her appreciation for nature. She had an affection for hummingbirds, finding joy in feeding and watching them. Much like the birds she loved so dearly, Mary Lou brought a sense of grace, vibrancy, and quiet joy to the lives of everyone around her.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington. A graveside service will be held at Mount Washington Presbyterian Church in Farmington Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Carol Friend officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mount Washington Presbyterian Church.
