Where are the religious leaders on abortion?

By Gene Barnhart 3 min read

God our father handed down to us the Ten Commandments. He laid out how he expected us to live by obeying those commandments.

One of those was, “Thou shall not kill.” Jesus later thru his ministry showed us how much he loved us and how we should love and respect him in return.

We as Christians have always been taught by our Religious Leaders to stand up and fight for our faith handed down to us by Jesus Christ.

He showed us how to love one another and to respect the value of life for all individuals.

The religious leaders are shepherds of God. Their responsibility is to take care of their sheep. They preach the Old and New Testaments. It is important for all of us to have an understanding of the scriptures but they need to take these readings and connect them to the daily problems that threatens our lives and faith that we hold so dear to our hearts. They also need to speak out from the pulpit about decisions being made by our government that is continuously removing God from our lives that are threatening our religious values.

We as Christians need guidance and courage to stand up against those who are trying to destroy God in our lives, especially our children. The way the clergy can give us that strength is by example. Show us your commitment to God by standing tall and showing us by your courage.

Some say that there are restrictions that can restrain us from mixing church and government. There are times when that makes good sense. But when the politicians start passing laws that attacks and destroys God’s image, we cannot stand by and let that to continue to happen.

Tell me if this makes sense. The government had all plagues of the “Ten Commandments” removed from their courthouses, places where our statues and laws are enforced These same laws that they enforce were made from these same commandments. One more example: our kids are taught to believe in God and to respect him. Then they go to school where they are told that they cannot pray the Our Father or even express their Christian beliefs. Life is tough enough for our kids to grow up in and then the politicians make it even tougher for them to understand their faith.

The most serious damage that our government has caused our younger generation is the issue on abortion.

We express to our children to respect everybody and most importantly the right to life for everyone. They have a hard time trying to respect the commandments when one of them has been totally abused, “Thou shall not Kill.” This is the worse sin of all because we are condemning our God and the most precious gift that he can give to us, the birth of a child.

The question I would ask all the Christian leaders, are you doing enough about the massive abortions that is destroying God’s creation? Also, how would you react if Jesus was standing next to you and confronting you about this tragic sin? By the way, the spirit of Christ is present in us always. It’s time for you to guide your sheep. May God bless all his shepherds and give them the courage to do everything they can, no matter what, to stop this terrible sin, abortion. God Bless America and may he give us all the courage to fight against this.
