At least one commissioner really works for us
DEFINITION OF WORK: activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.
I am sure that I could say that some of my neighbors on Walnut Hill Road would agree that, yes, in our experience at least one does. I don’t know how many of the readers of this newspaper are aware of the traffic on our road, but crossing the road with traffic traveling 60 miles and above is not safe, especially with curves and high and low road design. The speed limit is set at 45 miles and hour, but no one honors that speed.
What seems to be a small problem to many, was a big problem to us, being that we had to cross the road daily we faced the problem head on, but could not get anyone to listen. We kept hearing, go somewhere else. Feeling very desperate, I called Commissioner Vince Vicites because his reputation was a prime definition of work. Well, we called on the right person.
Not once did he say go somewhere else. His response was “Mrs. Bryner, I will do what ever I can to help solve your problem,” and he did what he promised. He spent quite a bit of time working tirelessly and was successful at solving our problem. I am offering on behalf of the Walnut Hill residents and myself a thank you to Commissioner Vicites.
