Letter is correct, perspective is everything

1 min read

I read the interesting commentary by Mr. DeWitt Clinton, printed in the April 25 edition of the Ãå±±½ûµØ. Mr. Clinton posits that “perspective is everything in life and politics.” Mr. Clinton’s analogy that two people on different sides of the street often will offer different versions of the same accident.

I might add that Albert Einstein stated in his Theory of Relativity that a person’s interpretation of an event was relative to that person’s position in the space-time continuum. In other words persons in different places in the universe will offer different versions of the same event.

I state the above after seeing Mr. Clinton’s observation that Mr. Harry Reid was untruthful when interviewed by congress. I agree that lying is wrong — and criminal if occurring with congress. However, many learned, honest and well — respected observers of the national scene have been astounded by the number of untruths — read lies — uttered by Mr. Donald Trump. I did not see Mr. Clinton’s mention of Mr. Trump’s prevarications.

Perhaps, Mr. Clinton and I live on different sides of the street.
