The Democratic Party, then and now
I grew up in a town where most of the residences were Democrats. My Dad was very active as a Democrat and worked all his life serving his party.
The Democratic Party stood for something back then. They would never vote in favor of abortion because they believed in human life and that every child was a creation of God and had a right to experience life.
They would never let our flag be abused, people knew that they better stand for the National Anthem, take their hat off and place their hand over their heart. They would never allow God to be taken out of anything and they all respected God, the Constitution, American flag and they were proud of our history. They knew that a lot of Americans shed their blood and lives for our flag to fly free. They always put the safety and well-being of our country first. When there was a war they would support our troops and a lot volunteered their lives to fight for our freedom.
The Communist (Socialist) Party came to our country and threaten our well-being, they put a stop to it before it even had a chance to take root. The men of our town made us proud to be Americans by preventing them from spreading propaganda in our town. I was proud to say that I was a Democrat. As time went by, I saw the Democratic Party start to go in the wrong direction.
The Democratic Party of today has forgotten what made their party great. They have let their desire for power and control take over their party. They have placed God, our flag, the Constitution and making decisions to better our country on the back burner. Their personal hatred has taken control of their lives to the point where they have one objective and that is their obsession to destroy the president. If they would succeed in doing this, they could destroy anyone. (Socialism)
Look at where they stand on abortion. They favor abortion right up to the time of birth. Why don’t they share some of their compassion for the right to life as they do for illegal immigrants? They have provided more support for illegal immigrants then they do for us citizens and the communities that are suffering at our borders. What constructive changes have they passed or supported in the last two years that has given us positive results?
Let’s take a look at what the Democratic Party is attempting to do now. We won’t even consider “The Green Deal.” It is so far out in left field. Decreasing the voting age to 16 years of age does not make logical sense. To the Democrats it makes sense because they are pushing socialism and a lot of young adults are excited about the free benefits, such as free education, free health insurance and paying off student loans.
There are Democrats that are attempting to push for illegal immigrants and criminals in prison to be allowed to vote.
They also want illegal immigrants to be able to obtain a valid drivers license. Could it be, more illegal immigrants more votes.
Now they want to take electoral votes out of the election process and only use the popular votes to determine the results of a presidential election. If they do this, the small states will have no impact on the results of the election. Their electoral votes give them that chance. The Democrats control the three most populated states and they are sanctuary states.
Socialism, simply defined: Is a complete government take over where we as citizens will have no say in anything. If these changes are put into effect, we will be heading down the road to socialism. People, we don’t want to go there, no matter what party you support. Parents educate your kids as to the truth about socialism.
The one thing my dad taught me, was that no matter what, you always put God and our flag before party commitment.
I think it is about time that we all do this. What kind of country do we want for our grandchildren.
