Most Republicans are fascists in disguise
Donald Trump was heard bragging about himself and how under his leadership the US Economy in the first quarter rose 3.5%. That sounds good. Â Do you know anyone working for a living that got a 3.5% increase in their economy? What really happened is that 3.5% growth in the economy; probably went to banks, corporations, hedge funds, Wall Street investors, and the top 1 %.
Take a look at your bank account and you might notice that since Trump took office your overall financial situation may have shrunk by about 3.5%. Republican voters hope some of that growth spurred by the $1.5 trillion tax cut for the wealthy will trickle down to them. Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase, doesn’t believe any trickle down will happen.
Dimon said in a recent interview that among working Americans 40% make $15/hour, 15% make minimum wage and among all working and retired Americans most live from payday to payday and would not be able to come up with $400 cash to pay an unexpected bill. Dimon went on to say the $1.5 trillion Trump Tax cut increased the national debt by $2 trillion and has bifurcated the American economy into the have and have-nots.
I’m guessing 85% of Ãå±±½ûµØ readers that voted for Trump are have-nots living from pay day to pay day. When it comes to trickle down the only thing that will trickle down to what’s left of the middle class is the national debt, currently at $22 trillion.
You can believe that as long as Republican/fascists working for the oligarchs are in control in Washington and state legislatures the top 1% won’t pay that $22 trillion debt. That debt will trickle down to you and me and our kids in the form of cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.Â
The bright side is for the past 10 years, we have seen our economy grow unemployment reduced and a modest growth in wages for skilled labor. The sad part is wages in most fields have not grown. More people are working, but finding it harder and harder to pay the bills. Job creation is great if the jobs created will pay the rent.
Opening another minimum wage Dollar Tree or Burger King will not help. America needs to focus on high paying infrastructure jobs repairing roads, bridges, rail lines and waterways, which are in deplorable condition. Right-wing fascists disguised as Republicans do not care about infrastructure because it might raise their taxes. They would rather spend your money on things like a wall to keep out those women with children seeking nothing more than asylum, trying to escape tyranny, rape, murder, poverty and hunger.
Fascists do not care if our bridges collapse our roads crumbling, rivers flood, levies burst. Fascists only care about their hate filled agenda. Ronald Reagan in a speech on immigration said, “We must never remain silent in the face of bigotry. We must condemn those who seek to divide us, in all quarters and at all times. We must teach tolerance and denounce racism, antisemitism and all ethnic or religious bigotry Where ever they exist as unacceptable evils. We have no place for haters in America- none whatsoever.” Do not take my word, look it up. Ronald Reagan knew America was great and he wanted to keep it that way.
Today’s Republicans would view Reagan as a sucker just like they view Reagan’s followers. By their rhetoric and deeds, today’s Republicans care nothing about keeping America great, they care nothing about family or social values to the point of suggesting the murder of people. At a Trump rally in Florida last week, a supporter shouted shoot immigrants and was cheered by fellow supporters. Trump did not condemn the call to murder, he minimized the remark nodded his head up and down smiled, and continued on with the rally.
