LETTER: Glue traps inhumane
On Aug. 15, columnist Beth Dolinar wrote about trying to catch a mouse in her house. Even though she said she didn’t like glue traps because they didn’t put the mouse out of its misery immediately, she used one anyway. Fortunately she didn’t catch it in the glue trap.
Glue traps are extremely cruel, and should never even be considered. If you catch a mouse that way, what are you going to do with it? Throw the live mouse away to suffer as it struggles to get free, then takes possible days to finally die of thirst and starvation?
I can’t imagine anyone being OK with this. Where is the compassion?
This torture device should be outlawed.
