PE in the Park Continues Thanks to Strong Community Support
PE in the Park is off to another successful summer at East Park, providing local children with opportunities to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy healthy outdoor recreation. The program offers a variety of activities including cooperative games, sports, fitness challenges, and team-building experiences in a fun and welcoming environment.
One of the highlights of this year鈥檚 program has been the incredible support from the Connellsville community. The program recently received a major boost from local supporter Matthew Virgillo, successful businessman, and entrepreneur, who generously helped fulfill nearly the entire amazon equipment wishlist and provided snacks for participants throughout the summer.
Anyone who has priced PE equipment knows that a simple set of balls, cones, and games can quickly add up. Thanks to Matthew鈥檚 generosity, campers have access to quality equipment that helps keep activities engaging, safe, and fun.
Matthew states, 鈥� I contribute to this program so heavily because I want kids to have the opportunity to participate in various activities and hopefully this will be a good example for when they get older鈥�.
PE in the Park is also grateful for the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that continue to support the program through donations, sponsorships, and encouragement. Their contributions help ensure that local children have access to affordable summer recreation opportunities.
The program would not exist without the vision of Jason Bandermer, who started PE in the Park years ago. His commitment to creating positive experiences for local youth laid the foundation for a program that continues to grow and impact families throughout the community.
