Money in the Bank tonight
WWE presents Money in the Bank tonight on the WWE Network, and it better hope that the show delivers as it looks average at best on paper.
Jinder Mahal will defend the WWE championship against Randy Orton, the former champion.
The event takes place in St. Louis, Orton鈥檚 hometown, so will WWE continue its ways of having stars lose in their home market?
In a Money in the Bank (MitB) ladder match for a guaranteed WWE championship match, Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, United States champion Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin will look to win the briefcase with a contract inside of it.
A quick look at who is involved would make me predict Corbin wins, but you never know. Ziggler is probably the longest odds as he has lost so many times, and Zayn is following down the same path.
It may be too soon for Nakamura, and a Styles鈥 win isn鈥檛 needed. Owens could be the wild card, and his character carrying the brief case could be fun.
In the first ever women鈥檚 MitB ladder match, Charlotte, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Tamina and Natalya square off looking to earn the women鈥檚 briefcase. Could the winner cash in against the winner of Naomi鈥檚 title defense against Lana?
Speaking of, is Lana even ready to step in the ring? The women鈥檚 division is stronger than it has ever been, and a bad showing by Lana could hurt the division.
The Uso鈥檚 defend the Smackdown tag titles against The New Day, and I see The Uso鈥檚 retaining.
Look for another match or two to be added to the main show. In the Kickoff Show match, The Hype Bros. (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) will take on The Colons.
Angle vs. Triple H imminent?
WWE had been planning to run with a Kurt Angle against Triple H match at WrestleMania, but it looks now like it will take place at SummerSlam.
With WWE is having issues with ratings and considering WWE wants to make SummerSlam really big this year, Stephanie McMahon could be the 鈥減roblem鈥 that Angle has been referring to on Raw that could cost him his career.
Big Cass turning on Enzo?
Could Big Cass be the one behind the attacks on Enzo after all?
Cass was going to be the one who has been attacking Enzo backstage, but word leaked out so much about it that it now seems that WWE is trying to play up that Cass has been attacked lately as well. Cass will be a singles star and Enzo would be a great addition to the cruiserweight division.
Look for a video to possibly air soon to incriminate Cass.
Cena a free agent?
John Cena returns to Smackdown Live on July 4, but WWE has announced that he is a free agent.
What does this mean? Reading in between the lines, it means that WWE is trying to help the sagging ratings on both shows by having its one true draw on both Raw and Smackdown.
Reigns to make big announcement on Raw
Roman Reigns has made it known that he will make an announcement regarding SummerSlam.
What will the announcement be? It will more than likely have to do with his opponent.
It is a little odd that WWE is having him do it before the Great Balls of Fire show, but will it be to announce that he is challenging the winner of the title match between Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe?
Another huge announcement
Speaking of announcements on Monday, Seth Rollins will be on 缅北禁地Center Monday at 10:30 a.m. to make an announcement of his own.
Stroman cleared
Braun Strowman has already been cleared to return to action, so look for him to return either before, or at, Great Balls of Fire. Will he face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam?
Jericho returning?
Chris Jericho鈥檚 band, Fozzy, only has one more date to play, June 24, so will his return to WWE be imminent?
Another return and a debut?
Mike Johnson is reporting that Maria Kanellis-Bennett will be returning to WWE TV this week, and her husband Mike will make his WWE debut.
On this date 鈥
In 1995, WCW ran the Great American Bash.
The show, which was main evented by Ric Flair pinning Randy Savage, was WCW鈥檚 last before Hulk Hogan would turn to rule-breaking ways which led to the formation of the nWo.
This week鈥檚 question
I saw a story online where The Undertaker is going to come back. Is it true? Antonio, Belle Vernon.
The story Antonio is talking about can be found at https://www.yahoo.com/news/wwe-undertaker-returning-comeback-fight-091509429.html.
While I don鈥檛 take Yahoo to be a pro wrestling site for news, you can never say never.
However, I do not see Taker wrestling again. He went out with a loss at Mania, and he would have it no other way.
