Will WWE deliver tonight?
WWE presents Hell in a Cell tonight, and the event is in a unique position that none of the top matches are scheduled to take place inside the actual cell structure.
The only match announced for the structure is the Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton bout.
AJ Styles will defend the WWE championship against Samoa Joe in a match, and feud, but for the cell structure, and it is hard to understand why the match is not taking place in it.
Braun Strowman is cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase against Universal champion Roman Reigns,
If either of the two main titles change hands, look for Joe to walk out with the WWE strap.
Charlotte Flair will defend the Smackdown women鈥檚 title against Becky Lynch and I would not be surprised to see the match steal the show if Styles and Joe don鈥檛.
Alexa Bliss will use her rematch clause to face Ronda Rousey, but this match may be as quick as their bout at SummerSlam.
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre defend the Raw tag titles against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and does anyone else sense a six-man tag at the WWE Super Show-Down next month in Australia?
The New Day defends the Smackdown titles against Rusev Day.
Daniel Bryan and his wife, Brie Bella, will take on The Miz and his wife, Maryse, in a mixed tag match.
Young moved to announcer full-time
Renee Young made her debut as the new full-time color commentator on Raw this past Monday, and the move is definitely deserving.
She had a trial run a few weeks ago and did such a solid job that the move was inevitable.
Undertaker on Raw
The Undertaker will appear on Raw Monday night to help promote his match next month against Triple H.
Mixed Match Challenge
WWE鈥檚 second season of the Mixed Match Challenge debuts Tuesday with two matches.
Styles and Flair face R-Truth and Carmella while Asuka and The Miz take on Sasha Banks and Bobby Lashley.
Pro wrestling class
Thomas Leturgey, one of the most knowledgeable pro wrestling historians that I have ever met, will be teaching a class on the History of Professional Wrestling in Pittsburgh with the two-class course beginning on Oct. 10.
鈥淭he history of professional wrestling in Pittsburgh continues to evolve,鈥 Leturgy said. 鈥淲ith the deaths of Bruno Sammartino, Johnny Valiant and Nick Busick, the focus and legacy of the sport has changed.
鈥淚 plan to touch on those topics and other interesting ones I have discovered since last year鈥檚 class.鈥
On this date:
In 2012, CM Punk and John Cena pinned each other at the same time at Night of Champions.
A special birthday
I would like to wish a special Sweet 16th birthday to Autumn Pappas of Charleroi.
During my wrestling career, Autumn was one of my biggest fans dating back to when she could barely walk, and I hope she enjoys her day!
