Fox Smackdown push underway

Fox debuted its push for Smackdown鈥檚 move to the channel Friday night with the program鈥檚 debut set for Oct. 4.

The show, which is currently known as Smackdown Live, will be renamed Friday Night SmackDown and the show has a new logo. Fox鈥檚 campaign is being called 鈥淲e鈥檙e All Superstars.鈥

There will be four TV spots that air before the debut with the first having debuted Friday.

Smackdown and Raw roster splits?

There has been more and more talk about how WWE鈥檚 two big shows will have completely separate rosters.

While that may be the goal, how will WWE pull that off? Both the USA Network and Fox are going to want the top stars on their respective shows.

Many legends have been announced for Smackdown and it will be all hands on deck as Raw stars will also be on the first show.

Speaking of that show, it will also serve as Smackdown鈥檚 20th anniversary event.

Who is stalking Reigns?

WWE has been playing up the angle about who has been trying to attack Roman Reigns.

It seems that WWE wants people to believe that Daniel Bryan is behind it, with Erik Rowan doing the dirty work.

This past Tuesday on Smackdown, evidence pointed towards Rowan being the culprit and it led Bryan to smacking him across the face numerous times.

With the storyline pointing in the direction of Rowan, it can just as easily mean WWE is trying to throw the fans off.

It can obviously play out that Bryan actually was behind it and him slapping Rowan is just a way to throw fans off.

What if the evidence that seems to make Rowan look guilty plays out to where he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

AEW All Out fallout

The deadline for this column was before AEW鈥檚 All Out show that aired on PPV Saturday, so results were not available.

Look for the results and surprises, such as a potential CM Punk appearance, next week.

AEW to Pittsburgh

Tickets remain for the AEW TV taping at the Petersen Events Center on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

On This Day 鈥

In 1979, the WWE, then known as the WWWF, introduced the Intercontinental title.

It was announced that Pat Patterson won a tournament in Rio de Janiero, but the tournament never took place.

Patterson actually defeated Ted DiBiase to win the North American title and the promotion replaced the title with the Intercontinental belt.

This week鈥檚 question:

What is your take on The Revival and Randy Orton? I love the pairing between them. Briz, Belle Vernon.

I like when WWE makes stables when it helps lower card guys. Right now, The Revival has been treated as just that despite being so talented as a team.
