Ramsey’s 27 lead Trojans to 58-47 victory

Malik Ramsey scored a game-high 27 points Wednesday night to lead California to a 58-47 non-section victory over visiting Yough.

The Trojans (4-3) built a 9-point lead in the first quarter and then held off Yough over the final three quarters.

California led 16-7 after the first quarter and 22-14 at halftime. The Trojans outscored the visitors in the second half, 36-33.

Coshise Ryan was also in double figures for California with 10 points.

Gamal Marballie scored 22 points for the Cougars (4-3).
