Waynesburg holds off Yough for 52-44 win

Lucas Garber scored 22 points as Waynesburg Central held off Yough, 52-44, in a non-section boys basketball game Tuesday night.

The Raiders (3-3) led 19-8 after the first period but the Cougars (4-2) pulled to within 23-19 by halftime. Waynesburg took command with a 16-6 advantage in the third quarter to go up 39-25 and stayed in control from there.

Richard Bortz had 13 points for the Raiders and Caleb Shriver added nine.

Gamal Marballie and Josh O’Bradovich led Yough with 13 and 12 points.
