King finals on Raw
Because of the number of matches on the Clash card, WWE has pushed back the finals of the King of the Ring tournament to Raw on Monday. Baron Corbin takes on Chad Gable to see who is crowned the winner.
WWE recently trademarked the name Shorty G, so look for Gable to take that on as a new nickname shortly.
Several wrestlers have made fun of Gable’s lack of height in recent weeks on TV, and it is a build to the new name.

WWE’s first show on Fox will be Smackdown’s Greatest Hits, which will air Friday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m.

AEW numbers
AEW’s All Out PPV saw it sells drop domestically from the All In PPV a few months prior. However, PPV sales overseas went up for All Out.
Big Impact news
It was announced Monday that Impact Wrestling’s parent company, Anthem, had taken over majority ownership of AXS TV.
The deal means, that for the first time in years, Impact will soon have a TV home that a good percentage of the cable and satellite viewing audience has the ability to watch.
It has been a long time since Impact has received good news, and time will tell if this moves saves the promotion.
AEW to Pittsburgh
Tickets remain for the AEW TV taping at the Petersen Events Center on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

On This Day …
In 1999, Vince McMahon defeated Triple H to win the WWE championship on Smackdown.
In 2001, WWE runs the first live televised event after the attacks of Sept. 11. The episode of Smackdown was to be taped on that fateful day, but WWE canceled the event and aired the show live.
Storylines were not used as the full two-hour show simply had wrestling matches.
This week’s question:
What will WWE do with the announce team once Smackdown goes to Fox? Eric, Smock.
The word is that Michael Cole will lead one announce team while Vic Joseph will head the other. It looks as if Corey Graves will only be on one show, and one of the broadcast teams may only use two announcers.
WWE will also have a weekly studio show on FS1.
